All Star Softball

Ashton made the C team for All Stars this year
There were several tournament weekends with multiple games.
Her sister benefited from one of the tournaments finding an artist to paint her a custom batting helmet.

Of course, they also had to help out staffing the snack shack.
and to decorate the car for the trip to the tournament.
but mostly a lot a fun and skill development with good friends happened.

Walk-A-Thon

End of school fund raisers are fun.
Matching visors -- great planning is part of 2nd grade.

Annie

Jacqueline was in an after school production of Annie Jr.  Her role was a "star to be" playing both a maid in the Warbuck's household and a cast member in the Hollywood show.

She was really excited to be in the show and did a great job learning how to be on stage.

Softball

Of course softball season had both Bear girls playing.  One was a Lucky Star and the other a Slugger.

The Sluggers were a successful team but the coaching situation was very stressful for everyone.

Girl Scout Cookie Sales

With two girls selling cookies in our house (and several others on the block) we had to come up with an alternate strategy for selling cookies than door to door.
Instead we decided to set up our own booth at the end of the block.
and we even recruited Eli to help with sales (he was a natural!).   Off camera was mom sitting on a chair with a book.  Not a bad way to spend an afternoon.

Mission Report

California schools do a session on the Missions in the forth grade.  Ashton chose to do her report on the San Rafael mission.
As luck would have it Auntie Suzie was planning to visit all the missions and took the girls to visit.

Nice to have some first person photos for the report and a lovely day in Marin as well.  Thanks Auntie Suzie!

The Park City Pilgrammage

Again off to Park City for ski week.

The number of girls on the trip was a bit staggering.

But having BFFs along for a ski trip is pretty special, and playing with electronics is a must at the end of the day.
When you are ready before everyone else, it's a good idea to get on the porch so you don't get too hot.
 Partial group photo...

and shockingly the girls had energy for swimming AFTER a full day of skiing.

Apparently three little ski bunnies can get into some trouble, and when they have a mean ski instructor they can get themselves comp'd a ski day of fun.
